Chairmans Message

Dr. P.K. Shetty
Chairman and Managing Trustee

The single most important gift we can bestow upon our youth is ‘Education’ and it is our greatest responsibility to do so. We consider it our bounden duty in Sri Lakshmi Janardhan International School to ensure that every pupil in our charge is educated to the fullest extent of its capability and is prepared academically, morally and socially to take its place in Society with its best prospect of success and fulfillment. It is our task to bring together the influences necessary to make this happen in every case – good teaching, responsible parenthood, caring social leadership – to make sure that every student is correctly assessed for potential and fully developed.

With the responsibility of every student to be educated to this standard the members of the staff of this School have a major job on their hands and I look upon it as my job to make sure that they have the facilities and the proper support and encouragement to do it.

As Roger Levin once said “Too often we give children answers to remember rather than problems to solve.” We believe that achievement in education establishments is not a percentage game and it is not to be measured only in terms of examination results, important as they are. The ultimate achievement is the certain knowledge that every single student given into our care has been given of our best efforts towards full developments as an adult and leaves us with good prospects for a fruitful life.

We at Sri Lakshmi Janardhan International School desire that our students have, not only well-developed minds and bodies but well-developed hearts, for, ‘What does it profit a man if he gains the whole world but suffers the loss of his own soul?’ it is with this philosophy and this attitude that Sri Lakshmi Janardhan International School make an earnest effort to inculcate the basic values of life and the right attitude among students so they internalize that to achieve ‘anyhow’ and ‘somehow’ is not right. Means are as important as the end.

I look forward to working with the whole staff to meet the challenges of this assignment and promise you my dedicated application to the tasks ahead.

Dr P. K. Shetty
